Today is Summer Solstice and the “official” longest day of the year, so our nifty guide to Summer Fun in Denton offers some cool ideas for beating the Texas heat without breaking the bank. We also have a ton of weekly #DENTONING options around town, thus we sort some top #DEN10 events to peruse, but post your favorites we overlooked in the comments.

THURSDAY, June 21st

Amma is a humanitarian and spiritual leader who has dedicated her life toward comforting those suffering physically and emotionally, and she’s embraced 34 million people all over the world. Morning and evening programs are available, but gotta get a token for a hug and goodness knows we could all use one.

Twilight Tunes | Denton County Courthouse On The Square | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Denton Main Street Association proudly presents their award-winning FREE concert series in downtown Denton on Thursdays, this week it the Make Music Day jam! Admission is always FREE, so there is no reason you shouldn’t come out every week with your lawn chair or picnic blanket! Thursdays are also always hoppin’ downtown with Glitterbomb at Andy’s, a bicycle social ride at Eastside, live jazz at Steve’s Wine Bar, gnoshes at Wine2, and an LGBTW+ Social at Harvest House, so plenty of good choices around the Square.
