What the hell, Dentonites? Two days in which the temperature gauge goes above 70 and y'all turn into a bunch of drunks? I guess that's cool. We had margaritas, too. And I think there's a Denton stereotype about our collective penchant for booze and abnormally high alcohol-tolerance (we've seen some friends go five old(er) fashioneds deep at Paschall and not bat an eye (bye the way, that's approximately thirty minutes of drink prep for those five drinks if our math is correct). That said, there's a lot of pictures of booze below. So, if you're reading this on a Monday morning, you might get a bit jealous. Even the Denton Downtowners group got stuff done alongside some margaritas last week. Mulberry St. Cantina seems to be getting some major love as of late.
Shaina Sheaff didn't go with the requisite tequila shot and instead gives us a view through her wine glass.
We resorted to juicing in order to get a better grip on our allergies. It didn't help. At least this carrot orange pineapple juice was tasty. Maybe this would make a good margarita with a little tequila and some jalapeno salt....

Our buds over at Pan Ector moved out of their space on Piner St. They turned a normally humdrum event into a party complete with beer and plenty of T-shirt printing. Check out one of their awesome new Denton designs below. We hear that you'll be able to buy some from The DIME Store soon!
Our buds Shaun Treat and Melissa Carr took a trip down the East McKinney Taco Corridor and came back completely different people. Have you done this yet? If not, you should! And document your journey along the way. Progressive Mexican lunch for all!
We're still pretty happy with The Horny Toad Cafe. You should check it out over by the antique mall at 35 and 288. We're still thinking they have the best chicken fried steak in town.

The first round of Mouthwatering Wednesdays passed by last week at the downtown DCTA station. We stopped by and grabbed us some grub (how could we not?). You should, too. Next one is this Wednesday from 11am - 2pm.

Did y'all know that Denton Camera Exchange does a bang up job fixing camera equipment. They took care of reader Zach Ashcraft's L glass.
Last week was the first of one of the many upcoming citizen input meetings for the upcoming bond election. If you'd like to attend one, you can find a list of the upcoming ones here.
At the meetings you'll have a chance to talk in depth with a few of the city staff and engineers about potential road and drainage improvements - which is cooler than it sounds. We promise.
Bond election meetings have great snacks thanks to the Parks and Rec department, who bring out their own popcorn machine and pop fresh throughout the meetings.
