WHAT WE DID: JANUARY 21st

We're a day late with What We Did this week, but it was a holiday weekend, so give us a break, okay? Anyway, the weekend weather couldn't have been more perfect. We took advantage of every moment after we heard the polar vortex thing may be working its way back into town. It seems like y'all did, too. Movie nights at Oak Street, waffles from the waffle wagon, and rides on mopeds seemed to be abounding. Hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend as much as we did. Keep your eyes peeled for the Den10 tomorrow and a list of events to partake in this weekend - we wouldn't want you to get bored or anything and there's tons of stuff going on this next week.

Don't forget to tag your pics with #wddi throughout the week to be included next Monday!  Read on to find out why we're full of crepe this week.

We loved this shot of Nathan Williams' bike parked over by the airport. If you've never hung out and watched planes land/take off, you're missing out.

We hear the cold is coming back again this week. We're happy we had the pleasant afternoons this past weekend to spend hanging out on the courthouse lawn.

If you take the chess table at Paschall's you damn well better play some chess. Otherwise, vacate the table, jerks.

The Denton food truck scene continued to ramp up. Lots of readers checked out The Waffle Wagon. Did you read our interview with them from last week yet? If not, check it out here. Photo above from reader Hannah Francis.

So, we're basically addicted to the crepes made by Laurent Prouvost of crepetopia from Banter. We're slowly making our way through all of the options, but the butter and brown sugar crepe is delicious in its simplicity.

We decided that the sushi spot Haru on Lillian Miller has the best lunch special in town and is probably our go-to spot for sushi if we aren't feeling rich enough for Keiichi.

While photographer/What We Did mainstay, Shaina Sheaff, disappointed us by not providing any taco pictures last week, it does appear that she managed to spend her Sunday afternoon correctly (minus the brand name on her DSLR, that is).
